Trial Class Structure

1.Introduce yourself and ask the student to tell about himself

Sample questions for students:
-what is your favorite activity at school?
-what do you like to do in your spare time?
-how would you rate your knowledge of math
(reading/writing, coding, etc)?
-what is the most difficult for you in math (writing or other)?
2. Teach the actual topic.
3. Practical part: engage the student by asking them to do something (you can use a remote control for that).
4. Wrap up: share enrollment links

Ask the student to call a parent and share with him one of the links below.

Tell the parent that if they enroll right away or on the same day as the trial class - the first month will be with a 20% discount for them (for programming/SAT/ACT preparation, math and ELA classes) and $10% discount for all other courses.

5. (FOR CODING COURSES) Send a short report about the student to hello@kiddyschool.online.

The report is made for parents and shall include the following:
- What did you do with the student during the trial session?
- What are the student's weak points/knowledge gap (if there is any)?
- What skills will the student be developing during the course?

EXAMPLE
Today I introduced Python to Kevin and we did the following activities ...
Kevin is pretty confident using the computer even though he doesn't know how the basic structure of a computer (folders, files, program installation).
In our classes, besides IT and coding skills, your child would develop soft skills such as sequencing and logical thinking, problem-solving, math, design, communication, and presentation. I hope Kevin enjoyed the session and I would love to see him again!

6. (FOR ALL OTHER COURSES) Send a short report about the student to hello@kiddyschool.online

The report is made for parents and shall include the following:
- What did you do with the student during the trial session.
- What are the student's weak points/knowledge gap?
- How can you help the student to improve their skills?

EXAMPLE (English Language Arts)
Today I worked with Snitthick Kurpad and we started off with my bio then went on to read selecting the right book, he seemed a bit shy to read out loud but he did not struggle with the words except for the word- Genre. Then he answered some questions I asked him. I also worked on his listening skills and he answered some questions. I spoke with dad and he mentioned about reading 150 words per minute. I believe that Snitthick is capable of doing this and I believe he does not have a problem reading out loud or the vocabulary. He may just need more practice writing by hand so the spell check does not correct all his mistakes and reading outloud to read more.
Snitthick Kurpad positives:
-Snitthick has a good attitude
-Is willing to read as much as possible.
-He can answer the questions when asked without hesitation.
-He has good comprehension skills
-He gives specific examples to various questions
Suggestions:
-At first he seemed too shy to read the prompt but after a couple minutes he seemed relaxed and eager to read the pages so allowing the students a preview of the topic and prompt is helpful.
-More reading out loud so he is more confident and reading with a timer next time
(if he is not reading fast enough etc, it would be a result of not being comfortable with the timer etc.)
-More writing by hand and reading his prompts afterward aloud for any errors.
-Practice the word- Genre (aloud).
